The World Health Organization (WHO) and the UNDP/UNFPA/UNICEF/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction (HRP) works to improve health and well-being for people of all ages in every country. Through its normative role, WHO develops global, evidence-informed recommendations to improve maternal and perinatal health.

WHO and HRP are convening a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meeting on Maternal and Perinatal Health Guidelines on 12–13 October 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 CET each day. The meeting will:

  • review current evidence in key maternal and perinatal health areas

  • agree on priority actions for WHO/LHR/MPH.

In line with WHO’s conflict-of-interest policy, members of the public and interested organizations may review the proposed TAG members’ biographies and submit their views to WHO.

Please email comments to srhmph@who.int by 8 October 2026.

This WHO normative meeting is by invitation only.
